Pink Porches is an exciting new way to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness.  Putting a pink Sassy in a porch light or window throughout the month of October reminds people of the importance of screening, testing, and research for Breast Cancer, and shows support of the Sassy Survivors that have had to battle the disease.  Pink porches also creates a beautiful community with the glow of the pink Mood-lites throughout, a wonderful symbol for spiritual healing. 

The Stephenson County Health Department Women (pictured right) came up with the idea for pink porches and through hard work, dedication, and much much Sass these bright women launched it in their community in 2007 with great success.  They lit businesses and homes hot pink for the month of October and raised quite a bit of funds for their Breast Cancer Center, providing free mammograms for those that are otherwise unable to afford it.  It was a fabulous success.

If you are a nonprofit you can purchase Sassy Mood-lites directly from the Mood-factory at a special rate and sell them in your community as a way to make money for your charity.  If you are a retailer you can sell the bulbs in your stores, and donate your proceeds to a charity of choice.  As an individual you can purchase a Sassy bulb from our website by clicking here, light your porch in pink, and show your support. 

We will donate 5% of all sales of Sassy bulbs to the Public Health Foundation of Northwest Illinois.   We will also donate 5% of all Sassy sales for 2008 to iFred, the International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression, (www.depression.org), a disease that often co-occurs with Breast Cancer.  We look forward to shining a new light on both Breast Cancer and Depression when we get Sassy this October for Pink Porches.
